Above are the presentation boards for my Advanced Research Project at university (2011).
In my research, I visited ice rinks, spoke to ice-skaters (both professional and casual), produced questionnaires and took videos/photos. And trawled the internet for data (of course!).
Everything I learnt eventually led on to the creation and development of the Icearc Stability Aid.

Essential Staples

Essential Staples:
Gotto love the Button Stapler for being a simple way of stitching on buttons. More often than not, you end up mending buttons only after you have worn your shirt, only to realize that a button is missing or broken. So instead of getting hassled by mending the button with traditional stitching, just staple one in a jiffy! Very productive if you ask me, especially since I am so lazy to stitch!
Button Stapler is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner.

Tasty Tastings

Tasty Tastings:
A wholesome, flavorsome meal is what cooking is all about. You know you want to serve the perfect dish for family and friends, but sometimes the right flavoring can get the better of you. To make sure that you always dish out the perfect meal, Tastee helps you by doing the tasting for you. Shaped like a spoon, the device is laced with receptors based on the human taste bud. This means it is adept at telling you if you got the flavors right, or if you need to add a pinch of salt and a dash of vinegar!
Tastee is a 2012 Electrolux Design Lab top ten finalist entry.
Designer: Christopher Holm-Hansen
